Potash refers to a group of potassium-bearing minerals and compounds primarily used in fertilizers to promote plant growth. The most common form is potassium chloride (KCl), but other variants include potassium sulphate (K?SO?) and potassium nitrate (KNO?). Potash is essential for agriculture, helping improve crop yield, disease resistance, and drought tolerance. It is mined from underground deposits or extracted from evaporated seawater and salt lakes.
