Definition

<p style="text-align: justify;">The largest <span class="glossary" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted black; cursor: pointer;">share market</span> in Europe which maintains <span class="glossary" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted black; cursor: pointer;">exchange</span>s in Amsterdam, Paris, London, Dublin, Oslo, Brussels and Lisbon. Euronext has both <span class="glossary" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted black; cursor: pointer;">equity</span> and <span class="glossary" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted black; cursor: pointer;">derivative</span> <span class="glossary" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted black; cursor: pointer;">markets</span> as well as <span class="glossary" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted black; cursor: pointer;">bond</span> and <span class="glossary" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted black; cursor: pointer;">commodity</span> markets. It has about 1500 <span class="glossary" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted black; cursor: pointer;">listed</span> <span class="glossary" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted black; cursor: pointer;">securities</span> with a <span class="glossary" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted black; cursor: pointer;">market capitalisation</span> of around 4 trillion euros. It merged with the <span class="glossary" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted black; cursor: pointer;">New York Stock Exchange</span> (NYSE) in 2007. Prosus, which was split out of Naspers, listed on the Euronext in September 2019. Naspers owns 73% of Prosus.</p>
