Definition

The Equities Express Securities Exchange (EESE) was the fifth stock exchange to register in South Africa and it only does primary listings. It is mainly focused on BEE shares offered by companies that are listed on the JSE - such as Puthuma Nathi which is Multichoice and Media24's Welkom Yizani - so it competes with the JSE's empowerment division. EESE is black-owned and has been doing about 3 trades per day on average and has a liquidity of just over 2%.
