An income which accrues to a certain class of share and is paid prior to other classes - similar to the dividends paid to preference shares. For example in the Dipula REIT where Dipula "A" shares (DIA) receive a preferred income of 5% while the "B" share (DIB) receives the balance. So the "A" share is more stable and less risky - in much the same way as a preference share.
