A share which has not attracted the attention of institutional fund managers. This generally means that its volume traded is low and it does not attract much research from stockbroking firms and other institutions. Sometimes a wallflower share can offer an opportunity if it has been substantially misjudged by the investment community. As the fund managers become aware of their mistake they will begin to bid the share up and the volumes will increase.
