These are physical products which fall between perishable goods such as food and long-lasting goods such as buildings. A good example of a semi-durable product is clothing which is expected to last for a while but which will mostly need to be replaced within the next three to four years. Motor cars are generally regarded as durable goods, as are books and firearms. Goods which have a short life-span are also sometimes called "soft" goods. In general, semi-durbale goods are those which are expected to last for longer than one year, but not indefinitely.
