A company that rents network infrastructure from a network owner (like MTN, Vodacom, Cell-C and Telkom) and then sells its data and voice services to its customer base. There are a few mobile virtual network operators (MVNO) in South Africa such as FNB, Standard, Virgin and Mr Price and altogether they account for about 2% all the subscribers in South Africa. All the MVNO's in South Africa are working on the Cell-C network.
