A trade which deviates significantly from the price of the last transaction because of a capturing mistake. Since the JSE moved over to a completely electronic trading platform and moved away from the open outcry market which it had before, mistrades have become relatively rare. They can occur when a broker or investor enters an offer price onto the JSE computer which is far below the current market price or the price of the last trade or a bid price which is far above the current market price. Such "mistrades" are usually snapped up by other investors as soon as they appear and the JSE does not offer any recourse. The onus is on the person entering the trade to put in the correct prices.
