Definition

A regularly updated hard-copy book which gives details of all the listed companies on the JSE. This book is updated three times a year and contains abbreviated financials going back five years as well as much background information like the names of the company's major shareholders, its directors, its addresses and web site. It also gives the company's capital structure and some key financial ratios. The only problem with it is that it goes out of date. This problem can be overcome by subscribing to the online version. The book is produced by Profile Media.
